STN-X is derived from TRITON’s unique scientific work in N-DOC laboratory testing establishing the TRITON N:C:P ratio. It can be used to help corals against bacterial species slow tissue necrosis.
This product creates an environment in the aquarium that shocks the bacteria that attack the affected coral while providing specific elements that help to strengthen the attacked coral. The shocking effect of this product is achieved by an intensive “in tank” bath, which means that the infected coral does not have to be removed from the aquarium. A solution is prepared using the aquarium water in combination with STN-X and is ready for use after 20 minutes. If the amount of nutrients is known, ideally through N-DOC testing, a very effective ratio adjustment can be administered prior to the intensive bath. Ideally used in conjunction with TRITON N-DOC lab testing to accurately set the dose rate, there is also a generic dosing if exact water parameters are not available. STN-X contains no antibiotics or harsh heavy metals and is safe to use with any reef system.
