The terms and conditions of the trade should be read carefully before approving the trade. The standard terms and conditions contain the provisions that apply to all agreements, offers, sales and deliveries of products and services entered between DecOcean and the customer, unless they are specifically exempted by a written agreement. The customer must accept that our terms and conditions are included as a standard agreement. The customer must also confirm that the terms and conditions have been read and understood before the purchase of products can be completed. DecOcean’s inventory is updated after each completed purchase.
The order confirmation is sent to the customer together with the contents of the entire DecOcean standard terms and conditions. The order confirmation contains specifications for what the order includes. The customer can get the order confirmation re-sent electronically if it should be lost.
All prices appear from applicable price list at any given time or from a specific offer prepared individually between the customer and DecOcean. All prices are stated in Danish kroner and are incl. VAT, unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to make changes in VAT, taxes, duties, sold-out items, as well as printing errors or changes in brochures, written offers and other sales material. Payment can be made with Dankort, Visa, Visa electron, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB. When using the various payment options, a card fee is associated. The fee for using the respective payment cards is paid by DecOcean. If you pay with a debit card, you are always protected against misuse. You have the option of rejecting a payment when you receive your payment summary. DecOcean uses an “ePay” battle gateway approved by Nets. When purchasing ordinary items without special adaptation, the money is deducted from the card in connection with the order being sent.
Special for living items and specially adapted products
When buying special items or live items, advance payment is required. This means that payments via credit card are deducted shortly after the order is placed.
In our webshop you can buy gift cards. The gift card can be used both on the webshop and in the store. If you want to buy a gift card for a higher amount than the ones made in the webshop, you can simply add more gift cards to your shopping cart. When the gift card is issued, the total amount is added together on a single gift card. The gift card is sent digitally to your email address within a few hours after purchase. The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. The gift card is valid for 3 years from the date signed. There is a 14-day right of withdrawal on the gift card.
Freight and shipping
Shipping cost is imposed depending on the method of delivery and at what time of day the order is placed. The exact shipping cost will always be stated before your order is approved.
As a consumer, you have a 2-year right to make a complaint, which means that you can either have the item repaired, exchanged or the price reduced, depending on the specific situation. This of course requires that the complaint is justified. There is no right of complaint for special products and live items.
Right of cancellation
DecOcean does not exchange returned items for other items or sizes – But the money is returned. Should an item not live up to expectations, the customer has a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the customer receives the item. The item must be returned in substantially the same condition and quantity (for original packaging see immediately below). You can also regret by refusing to receive the item at the post office or deliver it in person at the address below. When you regret your purchase, the purchase price will of course be refunded to you. This is done by a transfer to your bank account, once we have received the item back and checked that it complies with the rules for cancellation. It is therefore important that we are informed of your registration number and account number. The return shipping is paid by the customer himself.
Special for live items and specially adapted products: Special items and live items cannot be returned.
The original packaging must always be sent back so that the conditions for exercising the right of cancellation are met. In the event of a complaint or cancellation, the item is returned to the following address: DecOcean Aquarium, Højdevej 1, 2670 Greve
All living things are considered special goods (since we cannot be sure of being able to sell these goods to another party). Everything living can be picked up at the store, or be shipped via UPS. There may be variable delivery times on all living things. You will be contacted when the item is home.
DecOcean strives for the customer’s order to be delivered within approx. 1-4 business days, depending on the size of the order and current inventory. The customer is obliged to reply to letters or e-mails from DecOcean as soon as possible. The response time should not exceed 24 hours if the inquiry is received no later than 2 working days before the weekend. Any long response time from the customer that results in DecOcean not being able to deliver the order within the stated time limit cannot be charged to DecOcean, or be the subject of objections, price reductions or the like. Unless otherwise follows from the general rules of Danish law. Any order from DecOcean is accepted subject to force majeure, including war, civil unrest, natural disasters, strikes and lockouts, failing supplies, fire, damage to DecOcean equipment, our suppliers’ production equipment or any other event that prevents or limits DecOcean’s ability to deliver. Unless otherwise follows from the general rules of Danish law. In the event of force majeure, DecOcean has the choice between canceling the transaction or part of it or delivering as soon as the obstacle to normal delivery has disappeared. In case of force majeure, DecOcean is not liable for any loss to the buyer due to non-delivery. Unless otherwise follows from the general rules of Danish law.
Duty of confidentiality
DecOcean’s staff and suppliers must observe unconditional confidentiality regarding information regarding the customer’s circumstances that they may become aware of in connection with the purchase of products.

DecOcean reserves the right to change the content of the standard terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The standard terms and conditions apply to the terms of trade between DecOcean and its customers. Changes to the above terms and conditions and prices will be posted on DecOcean’s website.

If you want to complain about a product or service purchased from us, you can submit a complaint to the Center for Complaint Resolution at the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby. You can complain to the Center for Complaint Resolution via www.forbrug.dk
