For your reef
Many corals are able to photosynthesize thanks to symbiotic relationships with zooxanthellae algae, which allows them to reduce their need for prey. However, these animals are skilled predators and, as such, need an external food source .
The dosage of SAFE ROTI has been designed so that in the destination aquarium a concentration in rotifers ml is reached that allows each of the polyps in the tank to receive the exact dose of food.
While daily dosing is ideal, dosing routines can be implemented that alternate days, weeks, or months. Results become visible with just a few doses.
For your offspring
In ornamental marine organisms, only a small number of animals can be successfully raised using brine shrimp nauplii as their first and only food. This is because fish and crustacean larvae are limited by the size of their mouths when choosing prey to feed on.
Thanks to the small size of SAFE ROTI rotifers, it can be used as a first food for larvae until they reach a sufficient size to feed on nauplius.
The dosage of SAFE ROTI has been designed to achieve a rotifer concentration in the destination aquarium that ensures continuous encounters between the larvae and the food source, thus promoting predation.
For successful rearing, JellyFarmer recommends starting by feeding the fry with high doses of rotifers, gradually reducing the dosage while simultaneously introducing and increasing the amount of copepods and/or brine shrimp nauplii.
This product is compatible with the “green water technique” designed for raising fry.
What’s so special about SAFE ROTI?:
SAFE ROTI rotifers are an ideal prey for all types of corals (LPS, SPS, hard and soft), invertebrates, fish larvae and crustaceans, due to three key factors:
Thanks to their high resistance and parametric adaptability, these organisms remain alive for a long time in the aquarium, even without acclimation. This resilience also allows us to serve them at high densities; in fact, a single milliliter of SAFE ROTI contains hundreds of live organisms.
When served live, they swim actively, distributing themselves evenly throughout the tank water, thus remaining bioavailable in the water column for a long period of time.
Because they don’t select the particles they filter, their nutritional quality can vary. That’s why our rotifers follow a specific diet at every stage of the production and post-production process, arriving at their destination with an exceptional biochemical composition and mixed with enriched water to ensure that composition lasts as long as possible.
