Instructions for hatching artemia cysts:
Use filtered seawater or fresh water containing 28 to 30 g of non-iodized salt (NaCl) per liter.
The pH should be between 8.0 and 8.5. If the pH is less than 8.0, it is advisable to add some sodium bicarbonate to the mixture.
Use a clean container, preferably one with a conical bottom.
Add cysteines as desired up to a maximum of 2 g per liter.
Keep the temperature constant at 27-28ºC (do not exceed 30ºC).
Ensure a light intensity of 2,000 lux and a photoperiod of 24 H.
Add sufficient aeration to keep the cysts in suspension.
Hatching will occur after the first 24 hours of incubation.
