For an accurate test, most liquid test kits require mixing or shaking the water sample after adding a reagent. In some cases it may be necessary to add reagent one drop at a time, shaking or stirring in between until a color change occurs. This can be time consuming and often results in the addition of reagents without proper mixing in between.
With the Smart Stir, it is no longer necessary to shake the water sample between each step. Simply place the test bottle in the instrument with the included stir bar, press the button and the Smart Stir will mix the sample while you add the reagents. In addition, the white color of the base allows you to see the color change as it takes place.
Smart Stir has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that can be easily recharged via the included USB cable once the low battery indicator lights up. To save battery power, the Smart Stir will automatically turn off after 5 minutes.
