Salifert Natural Strontium – 1000ml

Why is strontium needed? Strontium is important for accelerating coral and lime algae growth. Natural sea water contains about 7-9 mg / L strontium. This strontium is linked (chelated) with sulphate. The growth of corals and calcareous algae go hand in hand with the consumption of strontium and calcium. If there is depletion of calcium (which is very easy to measure), this usually also means the depletion of strontium. About Natural Strontium, Strontium supplements should be designed in such a way that too low or too high a concentration of strontium is avoided. We succeeded with this supplement. The initial strontium concentration can be easily maintained with a treatment of the same amount as our Coral Calcium. This reduces the need for a strontium measurement. This supplement mainly contains strontium sulfate along with some other ingredients to avoid ionic imbalance. This sulfate form is considerably more effective and less toxic than the commonly used strontium chloride. All ingredients are pharmaceutical grade or better. This ensures that no unwanted elements are added to your valuable aquarium.

Additional recommendations. The use of Coral Calcium as a calcium supplement is highly recommended. In fact, this natural Strontium and Coral Calcium are designed to be used together for excellent results.

Instructions: Shake before use. Regular maintenance: Dose the same amount of ml as Coral Calcium. Other: Dose 5 ml per 100 liters once a week or 2 weeks and adjust the dosage according to specific needs of your aquarium (use a strontium test for example Salifert’s Strontium Profi-Test). Every 5 ml per 10 liters will increase the strontium concentration by approx. 2 mg / L (2 ppm). Provide a strontium concentration of 5 – 20 mg / L. Active ingredients: strontium sulfate and salts of calcium, magnesium and sodium.
