Acanthurus bahianus, S
Known from Ascension, St. Helena and tropical western Atlantic with stragglers north to Massachusetts and south to Rio de Janeiro. Mainly found on hard substrates grazing on algae. Shallow reefs to about 25m depth. Grey-yellow to brown with thin longitudinal lines on the dorsal fin and along the sides of the body, latter especially noticeable in young. Length to 36cm, commonly to 25cm.
